On the other hand, we fear losing control, being replaced in our profession, or having to face data security issues. Here is what business leaders’ first association with artificial intelligence should be: great chances for finding solutions for business problems, and for improving processes, performance, and results. When it comes to solving complex issues, the key to modern success could be machine learning. Conventional automation for process improvement is already widely present, while intelligent automation goes to the next level. Intelligent automation means not only letting machines repeat processes, but to enable them to evaluate the situation and to act - dependent on the evaluation results - afterwards. For example, customer support and service responses, such as the service hotline, are already being automated. The problem though, lies in the communication between bot and human. Misunderstandings could will be prevented as soon as bots are able to recognize voices, to learn from previous conversations, to understand complex context, and to capture and react on the customer’s mood. Leading a company without the basic knowledge about artificial intelligence will become extremely difficult in the future. The intelligent division of tasks is key. Whoever is successful in organising the interaction of machine and human, will also succeed in solving complex business problems coming up.
